9 years of fun, amazing memories, silliness and what turned into love. That’s what Samantha & Scott have already had together. And there will be countless more!
They first met in a nightclub in Gymea. And for the locals, it was the Vynal room, and you all know what goes on at the Vynal room… But instead of the usual story, it was on the night Scott celebrated his 22nd birthday. A fateful evening for sure.
During their time together, they have had so many amazing memories and good times, it’s hard to find just one that singles out as their best moment together. But if they were to pick one, it would be a very particular evening when they were playing “Articulate” with friends. For those that don’t know, it’s game where you describe the word without saying the word itself or anything it rhymes with. Samantha was trying to explain “Goat” and Scott kept guessing “Ram”. They spent forever trying to get Scott to say the right animal name, but it didn’t eventuate. So, to this day, everyone reminds him from time to time: “It’s a Ram, it’s a Ram”… ;) We understand the hilarity and it was definitely one of those moments you had to be there for. We can only imagine how mad Scott got when he was told it was supposed to be “Goat”.
They have traveled together, and for the Game of Thrones enthusiasts reading, they’ve sailed from Dubrovnik to Split (Croatia)! Something we would love to do ourselves! it would definitely be their most favourite part of their 6-week Europe extravaganza.
Early on in their relationship, Scott would write love letters to Samantha, make macramé roses and send her flowers at work. Something sSamantha always admired in Scott. He is patient and always helps with anything she needs. One particular weekend, they went down to Merimbula for a family holiday. They were walking on the beach and ended up exploring the rocks. While climbing the rocks to get to the top of the cliff face, Scott came back and helped all of Sam’s nieces and nephews and anyone that needed it including the parents. This was the moment that Samantha knew she wanted to be with him forever. Her mother even made a comment about this moment, saying how nice it was that he helped everyone. Scott knew after 4 weeks that he was head over heels in love with Sam. No wonder he always goes out of his way to be her hero!
But if we were to be a little more specific, Scott dances a little out of rhythm and off the beat, it makes Sam giggle. She also loves his smile! And who couldn’t, it’s infectious, making everyone else around him smile when he does! Sam makes Scott laugh and she loves that when he laughs he has this amazing natural smile. To Sam, he is respectful and a family man and is adventurous as well. She loves that he loves her for her. For Scott, he likes Samantha's silly side and her kind and caring nature. The two are made for each other, and we are able to witness that for ourselves!
The proposal was something very true and fun to their own selves and the things they love - escape rooms! It was on the 26th of May, where Scott was waiting for Sam on bended so that when she escaped the escape room, he surprised her by asking her to marry him!
On their day, we travelled up to the beautiful Gibraltar Hotel, spending their morning with them while they prepared error heading down to the beautiful poplars so they could be married. We then spent the afternoon taking photos of them around the hotel and golf course before a fantastic evening of fun and frivolity! Here is just a couple of images from their day…
