Rebecka & Adam Laney
MARRIED 7 NOVEMBER 2015
Nothing can prepare you for that one day where you profess your devotion for the one you love - the one with whom you'll spend the rest of your life. It can seem daunting to do so in front of your family and friends. But for Rebecka & Adam, it was a breeze!
Six years ago, when Adam first laid eyes on Rebecka, it was love at first sight - his brother-in-law worked with Rebecka at the airport and thought she'd be a great fit for Adam. After an exchange of photos, they met, and the rest is history.
Spending more and more time with her, only cemented the fact that they were meant to be together, with Rebecka having the courage to be Adam's rally driving co-driver, as well as her open-armed embrace of his family and their lifestyle on their stunning acreage out past Hall.
Rebecka & Adam have spent many fun-filled times together, including squid fishing adventures that ended in Rebecka covered from head to toe in squid ink. Rebecka loves Adam's cheeky, chilled-out and fun personality and Adam finds everything about Rebecka both entrancing and enticing. It's no wonder they were made for each other.
One beautiful Summer's evening, two years ago, Adam took Rebecka all the way north to Moreton Bay. It was meant to be just a special little getaway for her birthday, but when they were out on Redcliffe Pier, he pointed out over the water and distracted her by saying "Hey, look! There's a jellyfish!" She turned back around to find Adam on one knee, proposing to her. Rebecka was so confused - she really thought there was a jellyfish!
Set in the picturesque vales and meadows of "Miranda Springs", out past Hall, the day began when we arrived at Rebecka & Adam's soon-to-be home. Rebecka, her beautiful Maid of Honour, Nat and the rest of the girls were all on the porch, soaking in the sunshine. The rustic location and all the effort Rebecka had put in to accentuate the theme all paid off - everything looked stunning!
Off to the boys, at the other end of the property, to get a few shots of them looking dapper in their matching suits before we awaited the arrival of the blushing bride by horse-drawn carriage, bringing her to a beautiful ceremony held by a gorgeous row of trees, out in a gorgeous meadow.
With the formal part of the day concluded, and many a word spoken, it was time to whisk Rebecka & Adam off to some secluded locations on the property. They have such fond memories of these spots, such as the 'Africa' tree by their yabbie pond - it's certainly not a tree from Africa, but they way it towers over everything else around it affords it its nickname.
We were even lucky enough that the weather held out so we could drive up to 'Lover's Lookout', which afforded amazing views to the Brindabella's. We even had just enough time to drive back to the main dam by Rebecka & Adam's parent's place for one last shot before dinner.
As the sun began to set, we snuck the happy couple down to the dam for one final shot of the two of them on the pier, painting them into the sunset. A truly perfect way to come full-circle from that moment on a pier, up north, two years ago.
