Rebecca & Alex Taylor

MARRIED 24 DECEMBER 2016

They say true love is the soul's recognition of its counterpoint in another. They also say true love is hard to find...but if you were to meet Bec & Alex, not only would you realise that they have found their soul's counterpart in each other, they have in fact found the very definition of true love together.

Bec & Alex met whilst working together at a local club in Canberra, and as the story goes, Alex was assigned to train Bec when she started working with Alex. Their love for each other has been evident since they met. They don't have an 'official' date as such, but the connection they have was instantaneous.

If you were to ask Bec why she fell in love with Alex, she would explain that it's his warmth, smile and sense of humour that captivated her heart. Nobody can make her laugh like Alex can. The same goes for Alex, if asked, he would say it's Bec's intelligence and sense of humour that made him fall head over heels. He loves that they can have intelligent conversations, and share similar interests in history and politics.

People in love share lots of great memories together, some of which last an entire lifetime. Bec & Alex are no different. The memories they have shared and created together will be something they will cherish. Their favourite travel destinations have been places like New York, Wyoming, Las Vegas and L.A., just to name a few.

Bec recalls one of her favourite memories was when they travelled to Yosemite National Park, and they had climbed for what felt like forever. They finally reached a beautiful waterfall, where they sat together under it, taking in all the views and sounds of the National Park.

Alex recalls his fondest memory being when they went snowboarding in Wyoming. Bec was getting a little grumpy because she was having a bit of a hard time getting the hang of snowboarding. They both took a break and built a snowman...until Bec decided she'd throw a snowball at Alex. Fatal mistake. Alex then threw the snowman at Bec!

Alex proposed to Bec in June of this year, whilst they were in the Blue Mountains.

Bec & Alex were married on Christmas Eve at the iconic and stunning Boat House, where they shared their heartfelt vows with close friends and family. The ceremony was truly intimate, and a real refelction of the kind of people they  are.

We were extremely happy to be able to capture some beautiful photos of Bec & Alex together, along with their bridal party, in the rose gardens of Old Parliament House.

Bec & Alex's reception back at the Boat House was a truly special affair, with some wonderful moments and plenty of laughs shared with speeches.

We wish Bec & Alex the very best and brightest future together, filled with a lifetime of happiness and laughter.
