For Rachael and Jason, life didn't truly start until they met each other. From there, it just grew and grew into the relationship they have today. They share a special connection through humour, life, love and children that no-one can take away.
They met in school and have been together for 3 and a half years now. During that time, they've moved in together, and shared the most precious of moments that life can bring - the birth of their child, Isla. They both agree that their daughter changed their lives for the better and they wouldn't have it any other way.
Jason clearly remembers the first time he saw Rachael hold Isla - something he will never forget. And Rachael can't get over how happy Jason is everyday he comes home from work with open arms at the door, racing in to have cuddles with his girls!
They laugh through life together and agree that that's the only way to live, so much so that Jason loves retelling the time that Rachael called to say that she was low on petrol and told him that she turned the radio off to save just that little bit more so she'd be able to get the petrol station.
Jason waited two years before he knew that he had to marry Rachael. And he picked the perfect time of year to pop the question - Christmas time! They had just finished dinner together and as they were walking past the giant Christmas tree in the city, he knelt then and there, in public and professed his love for Rachael, asking her to marry him. Of course, she said yes, and the rest, they say, is history!
On their wedding day, we spent the morning with each of them at home, before heading to the little Chapel inside Hotel Realm for their ceremony. Afterwards, we whisked them down to the National Gallery, then off to Commonwealth Place, and then finally a few shots at sunset on Lake Burley Griffin. After that, everyone was ready to party, so back to Hotel Realm we went, to dance the night away!
