Natascha & Luke Behrendorff
MARRIED 1 OCTOBER 2016
Natascha first met Luke at the Woden Youth Group, over 6 years ago, helping to pull bindies out of Luke's foot. She was Luke's sister's friend beforehand, and after 3 months of knowing each other, they both knew it was love. Tash, as she is affectionately called, fell in love with Luke's caring and gentle heart and he could not get enough of her radiant smile.
One of the most memorable stories they shared with us, was Luke's method of proposal - he proposed no less than 3 times and every time was met with a resounding YES. It all started with a simple question while they were house-sitting. He had no ring, so it didn't really count. The next time, they visited Berry to collect the ring he had picked out for Tash, and proposed again to her at the beach.
He later told Tash that he had originally wanted to propose to her at Minnamurra Falls, near Jambaroo. So, the next time they were there, as they were walking across wooden bridge over the falls, Tash asked Luke to take off her ring, and re-propose again. In doing so, the ring nearly fell into the falls, but they were able to catch it in time so that Luke could propose once more, on bended knee in the beautiful surrounds.
The ceremony was a beautiful celebration of the love that Tash and Luke have for each other. Their celebrant, a long-time family friend, spoke honest and true words to the congregation. Even Luke's brother was there through Skype, as he was unfortunately stuck on the West Coast on their wedding day.
After the ceremony, we whisked the entire bridal party away to the National Gallery for their location shots, both in the carpark and at the Jame Turrell Skyspace. To finish, they had a gorgeous reception at Rydges, Capital Hill. All in all, it was a beautiful day, filled with laughter and fun, especially from the newly wedded couple.
