Lyn & Michael Azzopardi
MARRIED 3 APRIL 2021
We’ve known both Lyn & Michael for a while now - they’ve been following the photography we do from basically our inception, and perhaps just a little prior to that. So, for them, it just made sense that they had us photograph their wedding! It’s just so lovely when that happens for us, and Lyn & Michael hold a special place in our hearts as a result.
But in terms of when Lyn met Michael, we have Lyn’s brother to thank! He put them together at a party some 6 years and 3 months prior to their wedding, and they’ve basically been inseparable since! Even having been together for so long, it wasn’t until the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic that Michael popped the question. He chose the “London bridge” in Googong - they went for a walk out there and had a picnic breakfast. He had a speech, but Lyn tells us she can’t remember a word of it, just that she could see that he was there on bended knee, and she clearly said yes afterwards!! (Lyn tells us her actually response was: “Yes!! Oh!! Shit. This is actually happening!”)
Michael has basically been in love with Lyn from when they met just because Lyn is who she is - his way has saying Lyn is his soulmate. Lyn is let to be her true self around Michael, so she knows he is her soulmate as well. Plus, they are way too cute together! The best time they spend is time spent together, whether it be chilling on the couch, just cuddling together, where they can just be themselves and hang out (like driving in the car, listening to Backstreet Boys and holding hands). It’s the small things that just make spending time together - a truth to life full of love!
They shared a few funny moments together, like the first time Lyn blew her nose from a cold, and let out a little air from the other end - whoops! Or when Lyn was massaging Michael’s foot, and he said to massage the arch, meaning the side of the foot that was closest to the arch in the hallway, but Lyn actually knew there was a part of the foot called the arch, and went for that instead!!
They’ve been to way too many amazing places together, such as the Hunter Valley, and Bulahdelah where they went camping and Michael rode his dirt bike into a tonne of mud, and where Lyn was sleeping when she was meant to be studying. ;)
On their day, we followed them from their respective homes to the the Royal Commons for their wedding in amongst the beautiful glen they have down there. We then took from for a little bushwalking around the commons before their party with their friends and family. Here are just a few of the images we captured from their day…
