There are many places you can meet someone in Canberra, especially if you're a lover of the club/party scene. For Kristen & Jacob, this is certainly the case - they met after Kristen's end-of-season AFL presentation at Mooseheads. That was nearly 7 years ago now, and in that time, they fell in love and decided they couldn't live without each other!
It wasn't too long before Jacob knew it was true love. It was even before they became a couple, officially - they were sitting together on Kristen's couch at her place, they locked eyes, and there was something special about the moment. Jacob says that was it for him. He was in love!
Even though he knew this was it for him, he waited for the perfect moment to pop the question - on Kristen's birthday, two years ago. It was a simple affair, but Kristen loved it - a home cooked meal waiting for her after work, followed by Jacob asking her what she'd always wanted to hear him ask!
Kristen & Jacob love the simple life. They spend time with each other as much as possible. Kristen especially remembers the time when Jacob surprised her with a picnic by the lake for their anniversary a couple quite a few years ago. It's that romantic side to Jacob that captured her heart.
They've traveled to the south island of New Zealand where they hired a camper-van for 3 weeks. It was an awesome journey. They love reminiscing about the heli-hike they did on a glacier... such an amazing experience!
Their wedding day started out a little dreary, but as they say, all good things come to those who wait! When we arrived at Poachers Panty to begin the proceedings, the clouds had cleared, the sky was blue, the sun stretched across the fields - a perfect way to get married!
