One fateful night brought these two beautiful people together. Jess was out on the town with her friends and Mike had managed to lose who he was with, and stumbled in Jess and her friends. It was a humble beginning, but it blossomed into a six and a half year relationship that has culminated on this day when they finally tied the knot!
Jess and Mike fell in love so quickly because they are both like no one else they’ve ever met before. They love to do everything and nothing together. Jess is so inspired by how hard Mike works and constantly provides the support she needs. They’ve also already both been there for each other in their respective times of need. So it’s safe to say that these two are in it for the long-haul!!
Jess reminisces about the time Mike had a function at the Convention Centre at the end of university. They hadn't seen each other in a while with all the work commitments at the time and when she finally saw him walking down the stairs towards her, it was one of those moments where the world stopped, everyone else melted away: it was just the two of them and he was looking at her the way every girl ever dreamed of. That’s the moment she knew it was love. On the other hand, Mike doesn't quite know exactly when he knew - it was more a slow build up over time. He loves the life and routine they've built together. They do most things together and make sure they set aside most weekends just for each other. The small things and 'in-between' moments are the big things for them.
They’ve travelled together and seen places such as Ireland, England and France, but nothing will compare to the trip to Fiji when, whilst sitting on the beach, looking out to the pacific ocean at sunset Mike pulled the ring out and popped that age-old question. Jess had no idea he was even planning it and of course, she said yes!
On their day, we met Jess & Mike out at Goolabri where they were to be married, followed by a couple of quick portraits on in the beautiful surrounds before heading back to spend the evening with their nearest and dearest. Here is just a few of the many photos from their day…
