Picture this! A beautiful late winter’s evening, after a gorgeous dinner together, you take a stroll down the by the lake and you man get’s down on one knee and just proposes right then and there! Well that’s how Brad proposed to Janelle, and the rest, they say, is history! of course, the fun part for Janelle is that Brad actually got down on one knee in public!

Janelle and Brad met through their friends about 6 years ago now, and alamos from the moment they met, everything about them just fitted together and felt so right. They’re a simple couple who really do fit that description, and they pretty much spend every waking moment making each other the happiest person on the planet!

We asked them both if they had a single favourite moment of each other, and Brad’s instant memory was drinking and fishing down the coast. Janelle, true to form, couldn’t pick a single memory and instead told us about the time she first met Brad’s daughter and show she instantly felt comfortable around Janelle, and then told us about all the holiday memories they have, particularly at the coast and in America.

One of their funniest moment’s together is that little proposal where when Brad told Janelle how much he loved her, Janelle responded with how much she tolerates him! We’re told this is the way they’re humour works, and they were in stitches that that was her actual response, as opposed to what is normally expected in a proposal.

On their day, we started with them at their hotel before following them to the Chapel at Gold Creek, for a ceremony full of laughter! Afterwards, we whisked them away in their amazing VW lineup to the National Museum before heading back to the Pavilion on Northbourne for their reception.
