We could start this with a massive long thing about love is love, or we support marriage equality 100%, or any of the other lines/memes that were associated with the vote, and are still associated with gay marriage, but at the end fo the day, it’s not actually about these two guys being gay at all. It’s about the love they share with each other.
Guy & Caleb met each other when they needed each other the most. Guy was on a much needed night out at Cube and Caleb just happened to be having his birthday party at the same time. Caleb went upstairs to look for some of his friends that had been separated from the pack, and Guy saw him from across the room, and in his very Guy manner, he piped up: “Hey, I like you beard. Wanna get a drink?” $1000 or so dollars later, and many drinks in… You get the drift. That was August 2019, and it was the night that changed both of their lives.
The evening started a whole something new for both of them. They just loved each other’s company, they spoke everyday, all day. In their words, it was meant to be, it was perfect. Something as simple as living in different cities when they first got together meant that they got butterflies every time they were meeting up and seeing each other in the flesh. It’s that feeling that makes you realise this is clearly love.
Since their time together, they’ve tried to spend every waking moment with each and especially love their trip to Sydney to experience Mardi Gras together for the first time.
The proposal was a perfect surprise for Guy. It came in March 2020, one of the better things to happen in that month. They were having a games night with their friends. And after a couple fo games, Guy was asked to go outside only to be met by Caleb on his knees, ring in hand, asking the obvious question!
On their wedding day, we followed them from preparation through to their reception, and they did it in style! Here are just a few of the images we shot on their special day…
