Love comes in many different forms. And for Danielle and Matt, it was truly love at first sight. It was through mutual friends that they met on Anzac day back in 2013 - once Danni laid eyes on Matt, she knew she had found the one.
It wasn't until roughly 6 months later when everything changed for the both of them - Matt became the victim of a king hit which landed him in hospital, leaving him with serious brain injuries. For a while, he had forgotten who he was. But Danni stayed by his side, and his memories started to come back to him. Slowly, over time, he has been able to adjust to his new life, relearning how to walk amongst other things. He is an absolute trooper to say the very least, and he was even more so on their wedding day!
Danni & Matt have been together for 4 years now, and it's all because of Matt's amazingly infectious personality, according to Danni. She enjoys every moment she has with him - he's such a funny guy with many the story to tell, and in such detail that many would not believe.
They share their lives and their hearts, but Danni fondly remembers the time when Matt tried to jump over a bush, promptly failing to do so by landing in the bush so much so that he couldn't be seen. Matt always remembers the time Danni fell down the stairs at her parent's place and tells the story rather vividly!
On the 6th of Feb, Matt proposed to Danni on the eastern deck at the Willett residence and of course she said yes! From there, it was amazing to watch as businesses from Canberra, such as ourselves, decided to help the happy couple and provide them their wedding for free so that they wouldn't have to be too much out of pocket after such a trialling times.
On their day, Matt walked further than he had ever walked, and laughed every single step of the way, showing just how committed he was to show his support and love for Danni, the woman who has literally made him the man he is today...
