Cassandra & Zac Pighin
MARRIED 23 MARCH 2018
The best part of Cassie & Zac’s love story is that Zac literally serenaded Cassie when they first met. It was way back when they were in High School - their Year 11 Music class to be exact. They both had other partners at the time, but Zac asked Cassie, who had a beautiful singing voice, to work with him on a project. Zac, a beautiful guitar player, charmed Cassie so well that they began to fall in love.
They grew closer and closer as they lived near each other and Zac would walk Cassie home while having many deep conversations. They would often stop, sit together and watch the stars. And, as cheesy as that sounds, they fell in love watching those stars, holding each other to keep warm.
They’ve now been together for nearly seven years and have loved every minute of it! They literally spend their entire lives laughing, having fun and enjoying themselves - one moment they remember vividly is when they received a ham from a butcher and instead of saying “Thank You”, Zac said “How Ya Goin’?” and then awkwardly walked out. They both laugh about this every single time they remember it…
They’ve travelled together to places such as the Phillipines for a massive family reunion. But it would have to the Kangaroo Valley, that they will remember for the rest of their lives as that was where they stayed in a cute cottage for a few nights. And one of those nights, they took some photos together on the balcony, and while laughing and having too much fun, Zac caught Cassie completely off guard and proposed right then and there.
Nearly two years later, they were married at the Chapel @ Gold Creek. They had an absolutely moving ceremony and a beautiful afternoon in the Senate Rose Gardens of Old Parliament House and then by the lake. And below are a few of shots that showcase just how much fun they had on their wedding day!
