Bridie-Anne & Adrian Fallace
MARRIED 22 MAY 2021
This story starts at Big W. Bridie was working at the front desk. Adrian was working in the home entertainment section. Bridie was Adrian’s supervisor. Bridie ended up having to deal with Adrian more often than she’d like due to Adrian’s wonderfully carefree and smiley attitude. Over time, she kinda got to liking hanging our with him. And so on the first of February, 2013, they made it official.
Their life became all about supporting each other when the other was in need. If Bridie wanted to chase her dream, Adrian supported her whole-heartedly. And when Adrian wanted to do the same, Bridie was 100% behind him. They were able to make each other laugh, constantly. Which is important because as much as life must be taken seriously, you have to have a good time along the journey!
Over time, they’ve had many road trips together, singing, snacking and laughing the whole way. These memories are the one’s they’ll never forget. Although, there is an evening that happened quite a while ago that sticks in their mind forever. Bridie was going to drive the boys home after a big night out, but when she arrived to pick them up, one of Adrian’s friends challenged Bridie to go drink for drink, even though he had already been drinking, he assumed he’d win. Sure enough, Bridie won that challenge, but in turn it meant that neither she nor Adrian could drive home that night!
Another fun moment was when Adrian has his lunch burrito stolen by a seagull. And another is when Bridie was moving her car at Winton in the mud, with her driver window down. Needless to say, she filled the car with mud! The cleaning involved afterwards always makes them laugh to this day!
So when it cam time to propose, Adrian decided he was going to play a game. Literally. They had just gotten back to their hotel after the wedding of some friends of theirs and he managed to convince Bridie to play a game of UNO with him, to “unwind and relax”. While setting up the game, Adrian snuck a custom card into the deck, leaving it up to complete chance as to who picked it up. Turns out, he did, and he waited until the very end of the game where he was about to win. So Bridie being Bridie, decided to play two cards at once to steal the win. Instead of fighting it, Adrian played his last card anyway, which simply said “Marry Me?” He then whipped out a ring box he had been concealing and placed it right in front of her, but she was in fits of laughter by this point, and couldn’t bring herself to open it for a good 20 minutes. Of course, we all know what her answer was!
On their wedding day, we followed them from dawn to dusk, covering every little part of the day. And if you look closely enough, you might see something that plays perfectly as a final word to the way Adrian proposed…
