Angela & Josh Stanley
MARRIED 24 FEBRUARY 2018
Sometimes when two people meet, they're destined to be together...however the love story doesn't always start as soon as they meet. When Ange and Josh met back in 2009, perhaps they didn't even know that they would become soulmates, but if you were to meet them, you'd think they have been together forever.
Angela & Josh met when they first started college back in 2009, but it wasn't until August 2014 that they started dating. It didn't take long for them to both realise they were madly in love. Josh recalls it was the instant they started dating, and Ange realised in November 2014, attending her brother's wedding, that she and Josh would be together forever.
We asked Ange & Josh what were the reasons they fell in love, and they both agreed that the biggest reason they love each other is because they both push one another to be the best versions of themselves and the level of support they both feel together is the best thing in the world.
One of the most favourite memories Josh has is when his daughter Lola told Ange she loved her (and Ange totally agrees that was one of the best moments ever!) Ange's favourite one is when Josh admitted he liked her more than skateboarding.
Ange & Josh spend a lot of time laughing and having fun together, and it would be hard to narrow it down to just one favourite funny moment they've shared. Once, they shared fits of hysteria over the music video for Sugar by Robin Shulz, another time it was because Josh makes the most hilarious sound when you tickle him (okay, that's been way more than once), and Josh is a larrikin storyteller, so it's hard not to laugh when he starts his accents and personas.
These two lovebirds have spent a bit of time travelling together, mainly down the coast, and they have both shared a love for Huskisson (where Josh won Ange a purple teddy bear at the local show) and Milton, near Ulladulla.
Josh proposed to Ange back in June 2016. They were eating dinner in their lounge room and Josh had been learning a tonne of magic tricks. He asked if he could show Ange a special one he had learnt and she somehow landed two cards that had the magic question on them...talk about smooth!
Ange & Josh were married on 24th February, at St Mary Star of The Sea church in Gerringong, a beautiful little South Coast town. The ceremony was intimate and heart warming, with plenty of laughs. There was even a "left the rings in the car" moment, but we won't go into that.
Once Ange & Josh has exchanged vows and rings, and just after a big group photo and some family shots, we took them off to Werri Beach for some serious fun...and even managed to get the boys to jump off cliffs.
After a couple of other locations, we headed back to the Mecure Hotel in Gerringong for even more fun and laughter at Ange & Josh's reception...where we were treated to a 'mic drop' from Josh as one of the star attractions.
