Amy & Nick Percival
MARRIED 11 NOVEMBER 2017
Long lasting relationships are built on a lot of things, one big one is honesty. You know you're with the right person when they're straight up honest on the very first day you meet...and with Amy & Nick, that was most certainly the case.
Amy & Nick first met one afternoon while Nick was sitting on his garage floor playing around with his dog. Nick noticed just how pretty Amy's blue eyes are. The very first time Nick spoke to Amy, his down to earth and honest approach is what captivated Amy straight away. Nick was brave enough to tell Amy she had big feet, but it was this honesty that Amy loved.
Nick's love of music, basketball, silly dad jokes and his philosophy on life is what made Amy fall in love with him, whilst it was Amy's big heart and the fact that she puts others first was what Nick fell for.
Amy & Nick have spent 7 wonderful years together. They have shared many special moments, and travelled to some great destinations. One of Nick's favourite memories is when they travelled to Disneyland in 2014. Nick remembers watching Amy's eyes light up from excitement, and he loves the fact that she is just a big kid at heart. Amy recalls her favourite memory being their very first Christmas together. She's never seen Nick so excited...and it seems they are both just kids at heart.
All couples in love will have lots of great memories and stories to share. Some cute. Some romantic. Some funny. In this case for Amy & Nick, it's a memory they share when they both went to the Hard Rock Cafe in Los Angeles. Amy and Nick ordered their food, however the waiter thought Nick had ordered the ribs, and Amy the steak. 5 minutes later, the waiter returned to check that everything was ok, only to find that Amy had finished the plate of ribs. Turns out, this is a common occurrence when they go out for dinner. Nice work Amy!
Amy and Nick were married in the Old Parliament House Senate Gardens, where not only did they share their vows and exchange rings, they did it all before the heavens opened and poured rain. We still recall capturing moments where Amy is looking skyward during the ceremony, waiting for the rain to come down.
Once the ceremony concluded, we captured some beautifully sweet and funny moments of the newly weds and their bridal party around the gardens, and out the front of Old Parliament House. We then headed over to the Oaks Brasserie to get a few more photos in and around the grounds, before their reception kicked off under the marquee.
